Nordic-India Dialogue 2025 | Reykjavik, Iceland | September 4 and 5, 2025

The second edition of the Nordic-India Dialogue was held on 04 and 05 September, 2025, at the Parliament Hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland. This closed door Track 1.5 Dialogue was convened by Ananta Centre, Swedish Institute of International Affairs, Finnish Institute of International Affairs, Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Institute of International Affairs of Iceland, and the Technical University of Denmark, in collaboration with respective foreign ministries.

The dialogue witnessed representation from all five Nordic countries and India, comprising over 70 delegates from government bodies, academic institutions, industry leaders, and policy think tanks. Proceedings began with a reception hosted by R. Ravindra, followed by remarks by key government officials such as former Presidents of Iceland, Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Iceland, and Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs & Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, India.

The dialogue commenced with a fireside chat with R. Mukundan, MD & CEO of Tata Chemicals, President–Designate CII for FY 2025-26 followed by sessions on Nordic-India collaboration on global security challenges; maritime safety & blue economy; tech, innovation & investment; and the Arctic & global sustainability.
