The Ananta Centre hosted the 9th edition of the India–US Forum, co-chaired by Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary of India, and Jamshyd Godrej, Founding Trustee of the Ananta Centre. The Forum convened a distinguished group of policymakers, diplomats, business leaders, and strategic experts to discuss the evolving India–US partnership.
The programme featured keynote addresses by Ambassador Sergio Gor, United States Ambassador to India, accompanied by Mr. Michael Geremia, Special Assistant to the President; Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s Minister of External Affairs; and Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of the Naval Staff, India.
Among the senior officials who participated in discussions were Paul Kapur, Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of State; Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary of India; Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas; S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY); and Darpan Jain, India’s Chief Negotiator for the bilateral trade agreement.
Discussions spanned the full breadth of the India–US relationship, covering artificial intelligence, defence cooperation, trade, and the evolving dynamics of strategic trust between the two countries. The Forum also featured a unique session exploring the business of cricket, alongside a special engagement with a bipartisan delegation of U.S. Congressional staff members visiting India.
The India- US Forum brings 100 eminent representatives of both countries from across stakeholder groups under one roof. The purpose of this Forum is to reaffirm the depth of the bilateral relationship and collaborate on the path ahead.
The topics of discussion this year include the Indo-Pacific, Russia-Ukraine, South Asian geopolitics, defence production, emerging tech, data governance, digital security/cooperation, energy, supply chains, climate change, G20, trade, and economic engagement.
