On October 10th & 11th, Ananta Aspen Centre, and its European partner Institut Montaigne, convened a high-level strategic dialogue to discuss the state of India Europerelations. The sessions deliberated on the four pillars of India – EU cooperation, the FTA negotiations, digital and green economy, connectivity, security and defence. On trade relations, a potential India EUFTA will open a series of trade disciplines and enhance multilateral cooperation. An EU-led engagement with India can boost confidence among smaller companies to develop sustainable infrastructure. Sustainable international cooperation can drive decarbonisation within the industrial sector. Delegates concurred that India – EU Connectivity Partnership was a trust-building exercise wherein lay strategic choices on data, digital, and investments screening, to interoperate, connect and integrate.EU Indo-Pacific guidelines is an important value addition to the India EU partnership on defence and security.
