A.K Bhattacharya is an economic journalist. He has served as the Editor of Business Standard and is currently its Editorial Director. Earlier, he was the Editor of The Pioneer and worked for The Financial Express and The Economic Times in different leadership roles.
With the presentation of the Union Budget for 2023-24 on February 1, there is greater clarity on how the government intends to overcome the financial challenges that India faces. Hence this session will discuss and debate what the Union Budget for 2023-24 has been able to achieve. This session will also examine the policy announcements, growth assumptions, revenue projections and expenditure priorities of the Union government.Â
