Ports of the Future Partnership: A Quad Initiative

Organised by the Ananta Centre incollaboration with the Ministry of Ports,Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) andthe Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The Quad Ports of the Future Partnership is a collaborativeinitiative launched by the Quad—comprising Australia, India,Japan, and the United States—aimed at promotingsustainable and resilient port infrastructure developmentacross the Indo-Pacific region. This initiative seeks toharness the Quad’s collective expertise to coordinate,exchange information, share best practices, and mobilizeboth government and private sector investments in qualityport infrastructure.In essence, the partnership is a strategic move to bolstermaritime connectivity, logistics resilience, and qualityinfrastructure in the Indo-Pacific, leveraging the Quad’scombined resources and institutional expertise
