Shaumik Roy is a foreign and security affairs researcher specialising in India-US relations, intelligence and security studies, defence and counterterrorism, and transnational organised crime. He holds a Master of Science in Crisis and Security Management with a specialisation in Intelligence and National Security from Leiden University (2025) and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Affairs from O.P. Jindal Global University. His academic and professional background encompasses foreign relations, security studies, intelligence policy, geopolitical risk, and strategic assessment, with particular emphasis on contemporary security challenges.
Roy's work at the Ananta Centre focuses on India-US and Indo-Pacific relations, Indian security and intelligence issues, and diplomatic engagement. He works on programming for the India–US Forum and the QUAD Ports of the Future Conference. He has also moderated roundtables on hybrid threats and emerging technology, assists in managing the Ananta Critical Minerals Dashboard, and produces the Arohana podcast.
